Alumni Return to SGES this Spring

SGES is proud to welcome a particularly exciting group of visitors to chapel this Spring. We will be hearing from four of our alumni--students who have gone on to succeed in high school and who are eager to share how they have grown in faith. Mrs. Fluker has helped facilitate the return of these students, all of whom have become leaders in the Young Life program in Griffin. We are excited to hear about their experiences since they left SGES and to learn from their wisdom. SGES continues to be proud of its alumni and their example.

Holy Week

This week, SGES will observe Holy Week. In this week leading up to Easter, Christians focus on the last days of the life of Jesus--the days he walked through suffering and death, the days when he gave himself for the good of all. We are asked in this time to think of our own walk in life, to consider what sacrifices we might be called to make for the good of others, as well as to identify and ask for help in overcoming the blindness and sin that prevent us from becoming all that God has created us to be. Now is the time to find our servant hearts, to be honest about our brokenness, to seek God's help and comfort. Now is the time to think on all Jesus has done for us so that we may be ready to join in the resurrection celebration of the Easter season. Blessings during this last week of Lent.
